How it works

Cleanse, exfoliate, extract & hydrate

Hydrafacial is a form of hydradermabrasion that combines exfoliation, controlled suction and hydration within one treatment. Its patented Vortex-Fusion® technology uses specialised tips to lift surface buildup, loosen impurities and deliver selected skincare solutions.

  • Cleansing and exfoliation — removes surface impurities and dead skin cells to prepare the skin for the treatment steps that follow.
  • Gentle peel — a selected acid solution helps loosen buildup within the pores and further exfoliate the skin without the recovery associated with a traditional chemical peel.
  • Vortex extraction — controlled suction lifts loosened impurities from congested pores without manual squeezing.
  • Targeted booster — where appropriate, a professional booster serum can be selected to address concerns such as dehydration, uneven tone, fine lines or changes in skin firmness.
  • Hydration infusion — antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid are delivered to replenish moisture and leave the skin feeling smoother and refreshed.

LED light therapy

Red or blue LED light therapy may be included according to your skin’s needs. Red light supports smoother, firmer-looking skin and overall skin renewal, while blue light helps target breakout-causing bacteria and calm visible inflammation.

We assess your skin before deciding which option, if either, should be included.

What it treats

Dehydration & dullness

Hydrafacial removes surface buildup while replenishing moisture, helping tired-looking skin appear brighter and feel smoother and more supple. It may be particularly helpful when skin feels depleted by sun exposure, air conditioning, travel or changes in routine.

Congestion & clogged pores

Exfoliation and Vortex extraction help clear blackheads, oil and impurities from congested pores without harsh manual squeezing. Treatment can be adjusted for acne-prone skin, with blue LED light included where appropriate.

Active or more persistent acne may require a separate medical treatment plan.

Uneven tone & texture

Removing accumulated surface cells helps refine rough texture and improve overall clarity. Selected booster serums may also address the appearance of uneven tone or dark spots.

Persistent pigmentation and melasma require careful assessment and may benefit from a broader treatment plan.

Fine lines & dryness-related creases

Improved hydration can temporarily soften the appearance of fine lines associated with dryness, leaving the skin looking smoother and more supple. Selected boosters and red LED light may provide additional support according to your concerns.

Ongoing skin maintenance

Hydrafacial can also be used as part of a regular skincare plan to manage surface buildup, hydration and congestion before these concerns become more noticeable.

Sessions & aftercare

One treatment or ongoing maintenance

Hydrafacial can be booked as a one-time refresh before an event or incorporated into an ongoing skincare plan. Many clients schedule treatment approximately once a month, although the right frequency depends on your skin, concerns and other treatments.

We review how your skin responds before recommending your next appointment.

What to expect afterwards

Skin often feels smoother and more hydrated immediately after treatment. Most clients return to their usual activities straight away.

Temporary redness, tightness or sensitivity can occur, particularly in reactive skin or when more intensive exfoliation has been selected. These effects are generally short-lived.

Aftercare that supports your result

  • Keep your skincare gentle after treatment.
  • Use the cleanser and moisturiser recommended by your provider.
  • Avoid rubbing, scrubbing or aggressively exfoliating the skin.
  • Check with our team before resuming retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs and other active products.
  • Follow our guidance on makeup, exercise, swimming and heat exposure.
  • Protect your skin from direct sun and use broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher.
  • Check with us before scheduling a peel, microneedling, laser treatment or another facial procedure.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

How often should I have a Hydrafacial?

Monthly treatments are a common maintenance option, but you may benefit from a different schedule. We recommend the frequency according to your skin, concerns and goals.

Is Hydrafacial suitable for sensitive skin?

It may be. Treatment can be adjusted using selected solutions, tips and suction settings, but we assess the cause and degree of your sensitivity first. Irritated skin or an active flare-up may need to settle before treatment.

Does treatment hurt?

Most people find Hydrafacial comfortable and describe a light suction or wet sweeping sensation. You may feel brief tingling during the exfoliation and peel steps. Let your provider know if anything feels uncomfortable.

Is there any downtime?

Most clients return to their usual activities immediately. Temporary redness, tightness or sensitivity can occur, particularly in reactive skin, but there is usually no significant recovery period.

What are booster serums?

Boosters are targeted, professional-grade serums selected to enhance your Hydrafacial according to a specific skin concern. Available options may address dehydration, uneven tone, fine lines, texture or changes in firmness. Your provider will explain which available booster, if any, suits your skin.

What does the LED light do?

Red LED light supports skin renewal and smoother, firmer-looking skin. Blue LED light helps target breakout-causing bacteria and calm visible inflammation. The option selected depends on your skin and treatment goals.

How is Hydrafacial different from a deep-cleansing facial?

A deep-cleansing facial commonly uses steam, manual exfoliation and extractions to clear congested pores. Hydrafacial uses specialised tips, solutions and controlled Vortex suction to exfoliate, extract and hydrate the skin within one continuous treatment. Both may support clearer-looking skin, but the experience and technology are different.

Can I book a Hydrafacial before an event?

Yes. Hydrafacial is commonly chosen when someone wants their skin to look refreshed before an event. If it is your first treatment or your skin is reactive, we may recommend leaving several days between your appointment and the event.

Can Hydrafacial be combined with other treatments?

Yes, where appropriate. Hydrafacial may be planned around injectables, peels, microneedling, laser or energy-based treatments. The correct sequence and spacing depend on what you are having done and how much recovery your skin needs.

Give your skin what it needs now.

Whether your skin feels dehydrated, congested, uneven or simply in need of a thorough reset, we’ll assess its current condition and select the Hydrafacial steps, booster and LED option that best support it.
